AX200

Two AX100 intelligent door controllers can be connected to an AX200 Ethernet high speed controller. The AX200 controller is the gateway to the central management system using standard Internet Protocol (IP) this offers new levels of scalability and remote monitoring capabilities.
Most Companies and institutions have buildings with local Area Networks (LANs), in larger or multiple buildings, Wide Area Networks (WANs) are deployed. The AX200 has been designed to connect to these networks offering true convergence over standard IP networks for electronic access control systems. This offers a huge operational and cost benefit over the traditional methods.

Secure transactions are reported live to the central management system, which logs all access attempts detailing the date, time, door location, transaction type and tag holder. If an unauthorised access attempt is made an "Access Denied" alarm is raised. An authorised user can remotely open or deadlock a single or group of doors.

The Card Holder database has over 60 fields to record information such as Company, department, contact telephone numbers, vehicle type and registration etc, you can even import or take a photograph with a standard USB camera. The photo ID section of the central management system includes a part to design you own card, front and back. This can be printed on a suitable printer.

When photo ID is implemented each time the identity photo of the tag holder is displayed on the transaction screen. For higher security applications each door can be linked to a network camera to display a live image of the associated door which allows an operator to compare the identity photo with the live image.

Lost of stolen cards can be quickly cancelled and or replaced using the card replacement wizard, this avoiding the need to re-enter all the cardholder data, and also to keep track of previously issued cards.
The PC software can store over 60 database fields per card holder including photograph, company details, department, personnel data and vehicle details, with search and quick search facilities.

Although communication is to a single AX100 controller at a time, the software can store data for thousands of controllers, the unit is recognised via automatically selected.

If permanent connection of the PC is not possible, or the use of a laptop is impractical, the optional data transfer unit (DTU) can be used.  This still allows the use of the powerful software features offline, as all the data is downloaded to the DTU downloads the correct data to the controller the unique built-in address.
